Happy July. I honestly can’t believe it’s already here. We’ve had a lot of rain the past few weeks. I’m trying not to make it a bummer. I have a habit of romanticizing summer and trying to make it magical and special, especially with a toddler. I had to do some reality checks on myself.
Summer is great, but it also comes with new routines and wacky schedules, and it can feel chaotic. I know I might sound like a broken record, but it’s really nice to stay away from social media. (for me) it’s easy to fall into the feeling not doing enough, and in fact, as we all know, social media is not a reality. Reality is complicated for everyone. Having said that, we also had a lot of fun. The long days at the lake, the gardening, and the cozy time at home have been wonderful.
We don’t have any plans for the next few days, a lot of projects in the house, hoping to spend some time by the lake. But the truth is, my kids would have fun playing with the dog and running around in the sprinkler, and so would I.
