Generika Pharmacy Partners With Bacoor City LGU For Ginhawang Barangayan Healthcare Expansion


Recognizing the importance of quality healthcare available in the Philippines, Generika Drugstore is actively promoting positive change, continuing to work with local government units (LGUs) on its flagship program, Ginhawang Barangayan of Generika. Through this collective effort, healthcare products and services are delivered directly to the heart of the community.

During the latest event on July 28 last year, Ayala Healthcare (AC Health) group member Generika Drugstore joined Bacoor Municipality led by Mayor Strike Revilla and its City Health Office (CHO), Agimat Partylist, Office Representatives Lani Mercado-Revilla and Brgy.saint nicholas iii brought Ginhawang Barangayan of Generika Proceed to Bacoor, Cavite. The atmosphere of the event was warm, and more than 500 people from Bacoreño participated.

Free medical consultation with doctors from AC Health Group’s Healthway Medical Network and Bacoor CHO. With the support of the Agimat Partylist, prescription drugs were also provided to the participants. In addition to this, there is a free enrollment in the Generikard loyalty program to further assist them in obtaining affordable generic medicines.

Another key highlight of the program was an educational talk on generics, discussing the safety and efficacy of generics as economical alternatives to branded generics, moderated by Janice Blazo, Director of Corporate Pharmacy at Generika Drugstore. Bacoor City Dietitian Ms. Christine Angeles also gave a nutrition talk covering essential topics such as the Department of Health (DOH) “Pinggang Pinoy” and the importance of maintaining a proper healthy diet and highlighting the celebration of Nutrition Month last July Activity.

“An important part of the program is that they teach us about generics, because many of us still don’t know much about it. At least now, I feel more confident buying generics because I know their quality is Same,” shared Teresita Aquino, one of the participants.
