Piccadilly Circus was transformed with artwork for acquisition by the Royal Academy

The Royal Academy of Art selected the works of five artists to bring the stunning art to the streets around the tourist hotspot.

It is called the “gallery without walls” and is the most art intersection ever exhibited in one place in the UK.

The artists behind the colorful transformation are Michael Armitage, Vanessa Jackson, Isaac Julian, Falsheed Mousavi and Inka Shawnibal.

As part of the London summer art season, their works will be on display until August 31, and will also acquire 780 square meters of Piccadilly Lighthouse every week.

For the first time, viewers will be able to participate in a special augmented reality 10-screen experience and audio synchronization via mobile phones.

The installation site of Piccadilly Art Takeover is also part of the Let’s Do London event, supported by the Mayor of London, the London Tourism Board, Transport for London and the tourism industry to provide 7 million pounds.
