As RedState previously covered, The Abolitionist Teaching Network (ATN), which publicly promoted racial theories and vowed to “destroy and demolish white people and other forms of repression,” was promoted by the Biden administration. The organization stated that it wanted to be “feared.”
The boycott came quickly, and soon the Biden administration stated that the organization’s promotion was “wrong.” Fox News, But now we can understand why ATN was imposed on people in the first place. It turns out that its co-founders have connections with top figures in the Ministry of Education.
Bettina Love, the co-founder of ATN, received $11,000 for a speech event by Cindy Marten, the head of the San Diego school system, and she is now the Deputy Minister of Education.
Most importantly, thanks to the invitation of Donna Harris-Aikens, the senior director of NEA who was then an assistant secretary, the National Education Association (NEA), the largest teacher union in the United States, also invited Love in June 2020. Serves as a spokesperson for the US Department of Energy.
These two people are obviously fans of Love and ATN, so it’s no surprise that ATN material appears in a DoE manual designed to help more than 13,000 public school districts.
As Mike Miller previously reported, Ai and ATN have made it clear that their approach to the CRT is to destroy the “white people” of the school:
The guidelines of the Abolitionist Teaching Network also list the organization’s requirements, including “[f]ree, anti-racism therapy for white educators and support staff. In addition, it also requires that teaching and learning standards and teacher evaluations should be “based on the pursuit of liberation, criticism, excellence, and happiness for blacks, browns, and indigenous people.”
Obviously, there are extremists at the top of the Ministry of Education, and these extremists are friends of extremists. These extremists advocate highly racist ideas and aim to define how our public schools continue to educate our children.
These extremists need to know as much as possible about them and expel them if necessary. Although the Biden administration may have withdrawn from this group, there are many others waiting. Staying vigilant is the key.
