A little website refresh! | Jess Ann Kirby

I’ll be the first to admit that I spend way too much time obsessing over my website design. I think this is a problem that most bloggers (or any small business owner with a website for that matter) run into. At least once a month, I look at my website and think I need to start over and do something completely different. Eventually I woke up and realized I didn’t have the time or money to do that (and, it wasn’t necessary!). That said, now is definitely a good time to give your website a new look. I now have a regular contributor, Kellyand(most) consistent childcare, means more content. As the saying goes, blogging is my livelihood, and I’m excited to be doing more of it.

As more content comes to the blog, we’ve made some tweaks to the homepage, which I hope makes it easier for you to browse and find. This site update is being done in stages, so over the next few weeks there will be some other smaller updates to the launch page and other pages throughout the site.

I want to point out some new features and ask for your feedback. If you think there’s anything that would make it easier to find what you’re looking for here, I’m all ears!Big shout out to my developer Lisa (if you’re looking for great blog themes check out Her Customizable WordPress Theme, they are beautiful and user-friendly.i used one Foliage in Vermont!).

At the top of the site you can now find all the latest content. These are blog posts from the last week or so. Blog posts will be live Monday through Saturday. click. read. like. Content previously posted on Friday will be pulled on Saturday morning.

most popular

There is now a popular content section. These are the posts that get the most likes, comments, etc. Now you can easily find posts that other people are reading and liking. These are updated regularly.

category

There are several ways to find content based on category. On the home page you can find the latest content about style, beauty, Home, click. read.like, traveland trader joe’s (Yes, we gave TJ its own category). If you’re looking for something specific, the menu at the top of the site has more categories to choose from. For example you can look at Spring and summer style contentor latest Book, TV, and podcast recommendations. You can also find the store page in the top menu, including instagramif you’re looking for clothing details from what’s posted there.

I hope this little site update makes your experience even more enjoyable, and I’m excited to share more of our favorite content with you. As always, thanks for stopping by!
