The European Mediterranean Seismic Center said that a magnitude 6.3 earthquake occurred on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi on Monday. EMSC stated that the depth of the earthquake was 30 kilometers.
Indonesian Geophysical Agency BMKG said on Twitter that the earthquake will not trigger a tsunami.
Earlier Monday, there was a 5.9 magnitude earthquake in the area.
Local media reported that people living near the epicenter of the foreshock ran out of their houses but did not immediately report the damage.
