Teachers’ Association: Don’t treat unvaccinated children differently

The German Teachers’ Association warns against treating vaccinated and unvaccinated children differently in schools. “Basically, we oppose the unequal treatment of vaccinated and unvaccinated children in daily school life, at least as long as not all children receive the vaccinations,” Heinz-Peter Medinger, owner of the Association of the Rhein Post Say.

However, he believes that different quarantine regulations within a class are conceivable: “If a vaccinated student becomes infected, the health authorities may order other, shorter or no quarantine measures.”

Ulrich Weigeldt, president of the Association of General Practitioners, called on the federal states to allow all families to go to school safely after the summer break-including unvaccinated children and adolescents. “One thing must be clear: Under no circumstances should there be only two options:’vaccinations’ or’homeschooling’,” Weigelt told the Rhein Post.
