Artificial Intelligence Insights: Executive insights on the latest in generative artificial intelligence…
Artificial intelligence stacking has become the foundation for next-generation business transformation
Wow, I've been following the work of Fred Wilson for the better part of nearly two decades. He was a legend during the rise of Web 2.0 and the mobile web and influenced much of my work in New York. He recently wrote an article, “What’s Coming in 2024?” In it, he describes how artificial intelligence is driving the “artificial intelligence application era.”
“… Just as the browser brought us the age of web apps, the iPhone brought us the age of mobile apps. This is a big question. Although in 2023, everyone is rightly focused on OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Large language models like Llama, but we will see new AI-first applications emerge in 2024 that will start to move the focus and conversation upward. We will see legacy applications embrace artificial intelligence to make their products to do better and stay competitive with AI-first disruptors.”

We can interpret Wilson's prediction quite literally. With the launch of OpenAI’s GPTthe first app store for artificial intelligence is about to be launched.
What if 2023 is the time of shock and awe, chaos and fun with artificial intelligence! Then 2024 will also be the time of these things, and at the same time Let artificial intelligence work As Dave Wright says. But here's where it gets tricky. We're not making AI work the way you think AI should work, it's really about the work itself and how we transform.
Here's why this is important. The digital transformation in recent years is actually not for transformation, but for digitalization. We are not really changing our business to go digital, but investing in digital to modernize traditional analog processes.
I think a lot of businesses are using artificial intelligence to do similar things. The priority is automation and cost reduction. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's necessary. But you can't stop there. You also need to explore what new technologies, especially artificial intelligence, are possible now? What will AI do (WWAID) at any given moment to get better, drive growth, or create net new value or opportunity?
The real story, perhaps understated, is that 2024 will be the year of the shift to AI-first thinking.

The hottest job in corporate America is chief artificial intelligence officer
We know that the emergence of advanced AI roles will help organizations cope with the rapid acceleration and disruption of AI tools. Gartner predicts that by 2025, 35% of large organizations will appoint a chief artificial intelligence officer, reporting directly to the CEO or chief operating officer.
The Mayo Clinic in Arizona appoints Dr. Bhavik Patel as chief artificial intelligence officer.NYU Stern School of Business Locate My Friends Connor Grennan Serves as its head of generative artificial intelligence.
according to New York Times, Equifax credit bureau, manufacturer Ashley Furniture and Eversheds Sutherland are among the law firms that have appointed top AI executives in the past year. In December, the New York Times appointed an editorial director for its artificial intelligence initiative.Last year, more than 400 federal departments and agencies sought chief artificial intelligence officers to comply with a executive order President Biden has instituted safeguards for the technology.
Consulting firm Accenture appointed Guan Lan as chief artificial intelligence officer in September as clients become increasingly interested in the technology. Mark Daley, computer science professor and chief information officer at Western University in Ontario, became chief artificial intelligence officer in October.
Artificial Intelligence Insights
Just recently we were discussing the necessity or relevance of: Chief Metaverse Officer. What’s different about AI is that it provides entirely new opportunities for companies to re-evaluate their previous digital efforts. Artificial intelligence requires companies to go beyond automation and cost-cutting. AI requires leadership, governance, data integration, and an enhancement blueprint to align with AI’s exponential trajectory.
At the Baker Hughes annual meeting in Florence, I introduce The idea of moving from being a digital-first “tech company” to an AI-first “smart” company.
The importance of hiring senior AI executives is their ability to harness, harness, and effectively harness the disruptive potential of AI technology. These C-suite executives play a critical role in conceiving and coordinating AI initiatives, ensuring that AI strategies are integrated across departments, and that AI efforts are aligned with the organization’s overall goals. They also help manage the cultural and organizational changes that come with AI adoption, communicate the benefits and urgency of AI initiatives, and oversee the ethical and responsible use of AI. Additionally, someone must work with leadership and HR to assess gaps and needs for evolving skills.
And if we could change the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer to the Chief Intelligence Amplifier Officer, like Brian Romell Championwe will get the abbreviation CIAO instead of CAIO.
goodbye! 😉
Sam Altman is seeking trillions of dollars to reshape the silicon chip business to power enterprise artificial intelligence
Sam Altman may believe that NVIDIA's epic battle to provide chip power for emerging artificial intelligence applications represents an opportunity for new competition. It’s not uncommon to see articles promoting NVIDIA employees becoming so rich that they are Semi-retirement mode.
According to reports, Altman's efforts to reshape the global semiconductor industry may require raising as much as $5 trillion to $7 trillion. wall street journal.Ultraman is explain Pitching to investors from the United Arab Emirates, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son and TSMC.
However, Ultraman's actions were not without criticism. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang expressed some dissatisfaction with Altman's joint venture.
in 2024 world government summit In Dubai, Jen-Hsun Huang took the stage with Omar Al Olama, UAE Minister of Artificial Intelligence, to discuss the future of artificial intelligence.
When talking about Ultraman's pursuit of trillions of dollars, Omar asked Jen-Hsun Huang: “How many GPUs can we buy for 7 trillion dollars?”
“Obviously, it's all GPU,” Huang quipped sarcastically.
Altman isn't content to let critics have the final say, though.

Altman's efforts are to support the development of artificial intelligence technology and overcome the current limitations caused by the scarcity of high-performance artificial intelligence chips. So what does this mean? Intel and AMD are also competing in the GPU field. I have to imagine that Altman is also trying to solve OpenAI's growth and performance limitations, just as Apple eventually develops its own chips for its hardware devices. Only a handful of tech companies need most of the AI chips.it is report Microsoft and Amazon are also making their own chips. The U.S. government is also involved action.
Meta has also invested in chips and launched the Artemis artificial intelligence chip.Depending on who you follow, Artemis is either for get rid of From Nvidia or supplementing it. If I can read between the lines, Meta is at least trying to reduce its reliance on Nvidia chips.
What is clear is that artificial intelligence is driving the need for greater computing power. Every company needs to solve this problem internally or through outsourcing. A new chip war is coming.
This is not so much a race to produce artificial intelligence as it is a race to general artificial intelligence.
