ingredients you need

- Russet Potatoes – Technically, any potato can be baked, but the potatoes that are best suited for baking are Russet potatoes (aka Idaho potatoes) because of their starchiness and water absorption. Get potatoes of a similar size so they will cook at the same rate and wipe off any excess dirt from the skin. You can also mix Russets with sweet potatoes, as long as they are about the same size.
- olive oil – Helps create a crispy crust! However, any neutral cooking oil will work for roasting potatoes in the air fryer. Avocado oil is another good option.
- sea salt – I’m partial to boosting flavors in all my recipes, but kosher salt or any other salt will do. You can also add a little black pepper if you like.
- butter – Topping. See below for other topping ideas.
