An American woman was arrested.
Police said on Friday that after an American motorist made this terrible discovery during a routine traffic stop, the bodies of her nephew and niece were in the trunk of her car when they were arrested.
Nicole Johnson, from the East Coast city of Baltimore, faces multiple charges, including child abuse leading to the death of 7-year-old girls and 5-year-old boys.
According to the Baltimore Sun, the 33-year-old woman stuffed her niece’s body into a suitcase and put it in the trunk as early as May last year, and continued to use the car as usual.
According to reports, a year later, she put the boy’s body next to his decomposing sister and wrapped it in a plastic bag.
On Wednesday, the police stopped her for speeding and decided to seize the car when they found that she did not have the correct documents.
According to reports, a police officer told Johnson that the car would be towed away. She replied: “It’s okay, I won’t be here in five days.”
She added: “You will all see my debut in the news,” the newspaper quoted a police report as saying.
She said the two children were entrusted to Johnson by her sister in 2019.
Johnson admitted during questioning that she had beaten her niece several times, causing her little niece’s head to hit the floor. She did not explain how the boy died.
