A woman from Victoria, British Columbia Afghanistan Plead for the federal government to reduce red tape, because her former country is in chaos and her husband and two children cannot join her Canada.
In order to prevent her family from being threatened by the Taliban, Global News called Fay. She came to Canada in 2018 and has since obtained permanent residency status.
Since then, she has been processing immigration applications for her family, and there was an unfinished final document when the Afghan government collapsed in August.
She said she did not get any information from the federal government about what this meant for her husband’s application or what would happen next.
She said: “(Their) background has been checked by the Canadian government and there are no risks associated with it.”

“I feel like a ball, I just walk back and forth,” she added. “I can’t get any help.”
At the same time, her family hid in Kabul for fear of the Taliban.
According to the FBI, so far, 12 aircraft have been evacuated with 11,000 Afghans fleeing the Taliban.
Her husband worked as an interpreter in the UK, and she and her husband’s family worked in the fallen Afghan army and government.
Faye said they have little confidence in the Taliban’s promise not to retaliate against the enemy.

“During the Taliban rule 20 years ago, I was in Afghanistan and I knew how brutal the Taliban was,” she said.
“I don’t know how to explain how difficult this is [Afghans] In such risks, I cannot do anything for them. “
To date, 12 special planes have transported 1,100 people from Afghanistan to Canada.
The federal government has promised to take in 20,000 people, but has since admitted that this may be a problem due to the chaos in Kabul and outside the airport and the lack of cooperation from the Taliban.
Fay said that considering how long her family’s immigration application has been in progress, she hopes officials can let them board a plane to Canada.
“It just feels like it’s not me, it’s you, you left your children behind, and you’re not sure about their safety-how would you feel?” she asked.
“If you are a mother, if you are a father, you will feel that kind of pain.”
