Conveniently located in the heart of Woodstock, my green cafe A favorite breakfast and lunch takeaway option. This organic cafe is a haven for locals and tourists alike. Everything from their famous “challa” French toast to breakfast burritos, BLTs and quesadillas – you can’t go wrong! Lots of vegetarian options too! Open Friday-Wednesday (closed Thursdays) Order online Available from 7:30am to 2:30pm. NOTE: During the holiday weekend, in-person and phone orders only. Mon Vert is one of the most popular places to eat in town, please understand the long lines and long waits on busy days.
Affectionate Cafe
Affectionate is another favorite downtown cafe in the heart of Woodstock. Soulfully Good offers delicious baked goods, salads and sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. Open Wed-Sun 8am-4pm (Sunday 2pm). Phone orders will be accepted as long as traffic permits. Note that June to October is usually the busiest season. Founded in 1832, Barnard’s is one of the oldest grocery stores in Vermont. Rustic wood floors, a vintage lunch counter and a charming wood-burning stove create an environment you won’t find anywhere else at this store, located on the shores of Silver Lake. Offers a variety of groceries and baked goods as well as breakfast, hot and cold sandwiches and ice cream (seasonal).

Angkor Wat Located on the east end of Woodstock, this is a great takeaway option for dinner if you’re craving some Cambodian and Thai flavours. This fusion restaurant serves delicious dishes including spring rolls, chicken wings, dumplings, pad thai and curry soup. Open House Tuesday-Sunday 4-8:30pm. Give them a call to place your order.

If you’re looking for something casual and kid-friendly, woodstock pizza chef The weekly Friday Pizza Night is a local favorite in town. Classic Pizza, Chicken Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, Subs and Salads for the whole family to enjoy! Open Sunday-Friday 11am-8pm (closed Saturday) and located outside the village.
Ramontos Pizza
Ramuntos Brick & Brew Pizza Located in Bridgewater, VT — about 10 minutes from Woodstock — is another great option for family takeout pizza night. Ramunto’s makes New York-style pizza and also offers options like subs, salads, wings, and more. Open Thurs 3pm-9pm and Fri-Sun 12pm-9pm.

If you’re looking for traditional Neopolitan cuisine, the Kedron Valley Inn’s Ransom Tavern It’s a great takeout option. The Ransom Tavern is located in South Woodstock, a 10-minute drive from Woodstock village, and offers delicious pizza and salads. Open Wed-Sat 5pm-9pm.
Taj-E-India
Taj-E-India One of our favorite local takeaway places and well worth the drive from Woodstock. Located on the White River Junction, just 20 minutes from Woodstock, Taj-E is a traditional North Indian takeaway and catering business. Their fresh ingredients and delicious meals make this a hidden gem in the area! Bonus: they’re open on Mondays when every other place is closed! Open Monday 4pm-8pm and Tuesday-Sunday 11:30am-8pm.
Pim’s Thai Orchid
Pim’s Thai Orchid Woodstock is another 20-30 minute drive away and well worth the risk. Pim’s, Jess’ favorite local takeout spot in Lebanon, New Hampshire, offers traditional Thai food with amazing flavor and authenticity. Open Tuesday-Saturday 11am-8:45pm and Sunday noon-8:45pm.
