The White House stated that since then, senior members of the Biden administration’s national security team have been in contact with senior members of the Kremlin regarding cyber attacks against the United States.

In a speech to approximately 120 ODNI employees and senior leadership officials, Biden also thanked members of the US intelligence agency, emphasized his confidence in their work, and said that he would not exert political pressure on them. ODNI oversees 17 American intelligence agencies.
“I will never politicize the work you do. You believe me,” he said. “This is too important for our country.”
Biden’s remarks clearly deviated from the remarks of his predecessor Donald Trump, who had a controversial relationship with intelligence agencies on some issues, such as his assessment of Russian intervention in helping Trump win the 2016 election and his exposing Trump Investigate Biden’s role in pressure on Ukraine.
Trump has experienced four permanent or acting directors of the National Intelligence Agency during his four-year tenure.
