The union representing reporters from Bloomberg Industries issued the following message on Friday:
Dear colleagues,
Today’s HR update announced that, among other things, after mandatory disclosure of employee vaccinations before July 30, we think it would be helpful to provide some answers to common questions that arise, and discuss what we can take together next Some action weeks.
The following are answers to frequently asked questions:
The first quarter. Can INDG really allow me to submit information about my vaccine status (such as my vaccination card) as a condition of employment?
A1. Yes, this is legal in DC and Virginia.
Q2. A colleague of mine has not been vaccinated, nor is he wearing a mask/in the meeting room/doing something they shouldn’t do. what should I do?
A2. The company has not yet established a process for reporting these issues and is checking to ensure compliance with regulations on masks, meeting rooms, etc., at most occasionally. For now, we recommend sending an email to your HR business partner to discuss your concerns. You can also contact the guild so that we can track how many similar problems have occurred.
Q3. I made a request for RTO accommodation or flexibility, but I was denied/not received a response. How is this going?
A3. We know that many bargaining unit members are frustrated or confused about the way they handle their requests. Please take a moment to share your experience with accommodation or flexibility requirements in this poll: https://forms.gle/X47jbs5zfB9gcCLx9If you believe that you have been discriminated against or treated unfairly in this process, please contact an official or administrator of the association to discuss the next steps.
The fourth quarter. wait! What should i ask for? !
A4. The company has been dealing with personal health issues related to RTO in accordance with the requirements of the ADA. If this applies to you and you have not yet submitted a request, you can watch the video on this link to understand the process: https://us02web.zoom.us/rec/share/bt7H6A-eRwOaeCgeXpTlmicDLCXaljG4s08MUeBPmnzXV1MbpLFj651rUxfgADak.IbdKryTQdNoOe0I6 (Password: NV4V#mi!). If you have other questions, the human resources department’s instructions are to submit them to your direct manager. Please make these requests as soon as possible! The RTO is here, and we want people to be taken care of.
Q5. I have questions about the way RTO is handled. what can I do?
A5. Please contact guild officials or administrators to participate in our campaign against mandatory RTO or join the guild and strengthen our efforts.
When we return to the office next week, we can take several steps to act together in an informed and authorized manner:
- This Safety committee The health and safety status will be monitored and will meet with management to discuss employee concerns. If you have witnessed or experienced something that makes you feel unsafe, please let Ben Cooper (bcooper@bloombergindustry.com) Or Shira Stein (sstein@bloombergindustry.com).
- BHome Back to Office page now contains information about Reported Covid-19 cases. You can monitor these in the following locations https://bhome.bna.com/bhome/home/news-video/covid-19/covid-19-case-info.
- We will Wearing black Work on Tuesday, July 27th, to commemorate those we lost due to COVID-19, to acknowledge our own mortality rate, and to observe INDG’s apparent disregard for our health and safety. Please wear black to work with us, whether you are in the office on Tuesday or working remotely.
