Sanitation Committee Sajid Javid Said: “The Covid-19 vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and your family before the challenging winter. This change to the booking system will make it as easy as possible for people to book booster shots.
“This will accelerate the strengthening of the plan to ensure that the NHS can vaccinate people as soon as possible. It is important to help more people stay protected against Covid-19, because we know that immunity will decline over time.”
People can also make reservations by dialing 119, or visit hundreds of walk-in vaccination sites in England to replenish them six months after the second vaccination. No appointment is required.
NHS England stated that more than 9 million people have been vaccinated with supplemental vaccines, and it hopes to see these numbers increase before the cold winter weather, which usually leads to an increase in the spread of the virus.
