Britney is free.On Friday, a Los Angeles judge ended control Britney Spears’ Life and money for the past 14 years.
The decision is shocking Five months of Odyssey I saw Spears publicly calling for the end of supervision, hiring her own lawyer, letting her father step down, and finally winning the freedom to make her own medical, financial and personal decisions for the first time since 2008.
Cheers broke out outside the court, and fans cheered after the decision was announced. The crowd chanted “Britney Spears! Britney Spears! Britney Spears!” Fans sang and danced to the song “Stronger” by Spears.
Spears immediately announced the decision on Twitter: “Oh my God, I love my fans so much, this is crazy!!! I think I will cry for the rest of the day!!! The best ever One day… Praise the Lord… Can I get an Amen???”
Spears’ lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, told fans and reporters that the case “helps clarify the supervision and custody rights from coast to coast, California to New York. This requires a lot of insight, courage and grace.”
It is widely expected that the judge will act, and almost no one supports the extension of the legal arrangement. No new arguments were raised during the 30-minute hearing. Spears did not attend.
Just last spring, this kind of regulation seems to be able to continue for several years. Then it unraveled at an astonishing speed.
The key to disintegration was Spears’ speech at a hearing in June, when she Describe passionatelyd The restriction and censorship of her life is “abusive”. She requested that supervision be ended without any spying assessment of her mental state.
But the judge said at the hearing on Wednesday that if no one asked, California law would not require her to order a further evaluation of Spears.
In July, the judge allowed Spears to hire Rosengart, the lawyer she chose. His goal is first to remove James Spears from his daughter’s financial supervisory role, and then to work to completely end the supervision. The judge suspended James Spears at the September hearing on the grounds that his presence created a “toxic environment.”

But there may be more court battles in the future.
Rosengart further vowed to investigate James Spears’ role in supervision. He said that he and his team discovered that Britney Spears’ financial management was poorly managed, implying that she could take further legal action. Court records show that her net worth is approximately US$60 million.
He also stated that law enforcement should investigate the news of the installation of eavesdropping devices in her bedroom in the “New York Times” documentary.
James Spears’ attorneys stated that Rosengart’s allegations were never grounded to impossible, and that he was acting only in the best interests of his daughter.
In some respects, the struggle after the takeover has begun. James Spears has parted ways with the lawyers who helped him operate, and he hired Alex Weingarten, a lawyer who specializes in possible upcoming litigation.

In court documents last week, Britney Spears’ former business manager Samsung Sports and Entertainment Group rejected Rosengart’s request for documents regarding the company’s involvement in supervision from 2008 to 2018. The group also denied any surveillance of singers.
Beginning in 2019, the court-appointed protector Jodi Montgomery (Jodi Montgomery) is responsible for overseeing the singer’s life and medical decisions. She worked with her therapist and doctor to develop a care plan to guide Spears through the protection The end of the period and its consequences.

Montgomery’s lawyer Lauriann Wright said at the hearing: “After being supervised, Ms. Spears has no reason not to live a safe, happy, and fulfilling life.”
The judge temporarily retained a small amount of oversight power so that the accountant who succeeded James Spears would sort out the singer’s affairs in the next few months and then return the power to her.
Britney Spears is a 26-year-old new mother. After experiencing a series of public mental health problems, her father established a regulatory agency in February 2008, initially temporarily.
It ended a few weeks before her 40th birthday, her sons were already in their teens, and her career was put on hold indefinitely because she was already engaged and was about to get married for the second time.
The turning point came in early 2019, when she cancelled her planned concert residency in Las Vegas.
Convinced that she was sent to a mental hospital against her wishes, fans began to unite and demand the court #FreeBritney. At first, they were considered conspiracy theorists, but the singer himself confirmed this to them in a series of court documents in 2020, saying that they were correct in requesting greater transparency and review of her legal status.
It turns out that these documents are the first sign of Spears. She has been silent about regulators for many years and she will seek major changes.
