When she tried to force an end to the strict legal arrangements that controlled her life and career, Britney Spears Has received high-powered help Hollywood lawyer.
He replaced Samuel Ingham, who was appointed by the court to serve Spears in 2008, but she criticized him last month for not doing enough to help her end supervision.
Mr. Rosengart is expected to step up his efforts and express his intention to submit the required paperwork.
In his first hearing as a lawyer for Spears, he debated why she should be allowed to choose her representative and told the court that it was a “constitutional right.”
Wearing a beautiful dark suit, white shirt and red tie, he told the judge that his new client’s “powerful, eye-catching, and honest” testimony last month proved that she was “fully capable of hiring her own lawyer.”
As a former federal prosecutor, his first-line clients include Steven Spielberg, actor Sean Penn and director Kenneth Ronald.
Mr. Rosengart helped the University of Pennsylvania win a defamation case against film producer Lee Daniels.
The actor issued a statement earlier this week praising the lawyer as a “smart and principled street fighter.”
“Los Angeles Business Magazine” described Mr. Rosengart as “the first choice litigator for Hollywood elites and the American corporate world.”
