Olis When a bus driver questioned a passenger who did not wear a mask, he was spat and they posted a photo of the man they wanted to question.
The police said that when the driver asked the male passenger to wear a mask when he got on the bus, the male passenger had agreed to wear a mask, but he did not wear it when he was sitting on the upper deck.
When the bus stopped on Hubin Road, the driver told the man that if he refused to wear a mask, he must get off the bus.

Pc Matt Cannon of the Metropolitan Road and Traffic Police Command said: “Throughout the pandemic, bus drivers took great risks to work for key staff and other people who rely on public transportation to travel. People provide basic services.
“Any attack on a driver at work is unacceptable, but given the threat posed by Covid-19 and our understanding of how it spreads, spitting is particularly shocking.
“We have been looking for other methods of investigation to determine the identity of this man, but so far we have not been able to find him. I hope the public has the key to finding out who and where he is.”
After England lifted the remaining restrictions on the coronavirus, public transport laws no longer require masks, but they are required as “transportation conditions” for Transport for London (TfL) services.
This means that law enforcement officials can deny access or deport passengers who are found to be non-compliant when using the TfL network.
