The UK will move Canada to its travel “green” list starting next Monday.
This means that Canadians travelling to the UK do not have to be quarantined on arrival even if they are not fully vaccinated.
The UK Department of Transport said they still need to take Coronavirus disease Test within three days before traveling to the UK, and another test within two days after arrival.
The changes will take effect at 4 a.m. on August 30
The United Kingdom also added Denmark, Finland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Switzerland and the Azores to its green list, saying that travelers from these countries have a low risk of contracting COVID-19.
At the same time, the United Kingdom also included Thailand and Montenegro on its “red” list, saying that the increase in the number of cases in these countries means a higher public health risk.
