Canada wins second medal in Tokyo Women’s Canoe Dash Olympic debut-National


Canada’s Lawrence Vincent-Lapointe and Katie Vincent win the bronze medal Olympic The debut of the women’s 500-meter double canoe sprint in Tokyo on Saturday.

The duo had a strong start, ahead of the others, but found themselves in sixth place halfway through and had to return to third place.

The Chinese team quickly took the lead before the Canadian team and maintained the lead until the end, winning the gold medal. Ukraine won the silver medal.

The bronze medal marks the second medal Vincent Lapointe won in these Olympics. Earlier this week, she won the silver medal in the women’s 200-meter single canoe sprint.
