Harlotte Worthington won the gold medal in a sensation British team In the first women’s BMX park freestyle final held in Tokyo.
In the first women’s BMX freestyle competition in the Olympics, the 25-year-old Worthington completed the first 360-degree backflip in the second round of the competition-she crashed on the first attempt.
This is just one of the highlights of the second effort, winning a monster score of 97.50 for the Manchesterans, which is too much for the sensational Hannah Roberts in the United States.
In the early days of her running, she insisted on 360 degrees, and the seemingly confident Worthington also invested in forward somersaults and huge backflips to increase her score, and after winning gold and silver medals for Beth Shriever and Kye Whyte for the United Kingdom Won another BMX medal.
Worthington showed her ambition when she tried a 360-degree backflip in the first round, but missed the landing and hit the deck. After the first round, her standings have been at a disadvantage.
Roberts topped the list with a score of 96.10 in the first round, but when she pulled up early in the second round, Worthington’s gold medal was guaranteed.
Worthington paid tribute to Roberts. He told the BBC: “I have been dreaming of this for four years, but it still feels like I am dreaming.
“It’s really great. I didn’t do that trick for that long, but we kept trying to find the big bang trick, and when we found it, we were like,’I think this is one’.
“To be honest, without Hannah, I would not have any of these skills. So Hannah made me work so hard from the first day. This is the first time I beat her. So, without Hannah Roberts, we I won’t get to this point either.”
