City of San Fernando Takes Tech Leap with TeLavi-Powered Unified Hotline

In an effort to continuously improve the services provided to the citizens of San Fernando, Pampanga, the local government has introduced integration of voice connectivity or a hotline number, which is an effective means of communication for the residents of the city.

Gur Lavi Corp. (GLC), a leading voice communications solutions provider in the United States, provided the technology for this groundbreaking project in San Fernando with its flagship product, TeLavi. TeLavi is an innovative all-in-one communications platform recognized as a domestic pioneer.

GLC President and CEO Erwin Co said: “Telavi has been of great help to the City of San Fernando, especially in improving local government internal and external communications. This is great for the people of San Fernando as it speeds up the responsiveness of local government units to their needs, Especially during emergencies and disasters.”

San Fernando Mayor Vilma Caluag said they are already pushing to centralize voice connectivity in the city to improve public services.

Residents only need to memorize a number to contact local government agencies. All they need to do is call Kayabe’s hotline number 961HELP (4357).

“This initiative not only helps manage our processes, but also helps to immediately respond to the needs of the dearest people in the City of San Fernando by improving and expediting local government communications.” Mayor Kaluge added.

She also highlighted that their local government units will have easier access to their 35 barangays as the technology they are implementing can provide quick updates especially during disaster response during typhoons, severe floods and earthquakes.

In addition to all these benefits, Co also envisions other opportunities in this partnership, as the project could provide additional support not only to the public sector, but also to private organizations as well as SMEs and those with branches in remote areas. Paving the way for more support from institutions or satellite offices of larger corporations. Local government units have also used the technology to build better communication platforms, with government employees using the Telavi app to keep in touch with colleagues in the office or in other departments.

The City of San Fernando’s project to call Kayabe’s hotline 961HELP (4357) through Telavi is seen as part of a future-proofing initiative for the province of Pampanga. Investing in technological advancements to facilitate and quickly respond to people’s needs demonstrates that local governments care about people’s well-being.
