For me, the first week of the new year is usually filled with excitement, anticipation, planning and even hope. This year just feels a little baa. Mentally and emotionally, I’m much better off than this time last year, but my expectations are also low. Faced with another school closure, Marin being at home for an unknown amount of time (at least a week), uncertainty over vaccines for under-5s, and a pandemic still raging, none of this is a good way to start the new year .
After taking a break from Instagram for the holidays, I decided it was a platform I needed to leave.at the beginning of the week I share that I intend to do this, hopefully next year. I think if there’s one thing I’ve been good at over the past few years, it’s learning how to turn. in life and business. It’s not easy to change, but neither is it when I consider the alternatives. Why not try adjusting it so I can be comfortable with my time allocation? If the pandemic has taught me anything, it’s that there are no commitments. As we enter the new year, my expectations may be really low, but I’m also choosing to be cautiously optimistic.
