  • cooked bacon – I highly recommend Roasting Bacon in the Oven, which allows you to make large batches quickly and very consistently.you can also make Bacon in the Air Fryer or microwave, also. Blot dry with paper towels, then chop or crumble to use in salads. If you’re looking for a healthier bacon alternative, try Air Fryer Turkey Bacon. • avocado – You can slice or dice them. Press lightly on the top to test for doneness – if it’s slightly soft, it’s ready to eat.
  • hard boiled eggs – Cook eggs ahead of time.you can use mine Perfect Boiled Eggs method even poaching eggs in the oven. Let them cool completely in cold water before peeling, slicing or dicing.
  • Roquefort – You can substitute other types of blue cheese such as Gorgonzola, Stilton, or Maytag Blue for the shredded Roquefort. If you’re not a fan of blue cheese, you can omit it, or try feta or goat cheese.
  • Chinese chives – Feel free to substitute other herbs and spices such as parsley, scallions, shallots, red onions or tarragon.

storage instructions

  • shop: Store raw salad ingredients individually in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Avoid slicing the avocado right before serving so it doesn’t turn brown.
