Police are continuing to search for a man who allegedly jumped into the Thames from Westminster Bridge.

On Saturday, August 7, after reports that a man jumped into the Thames, the police, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade appeared on the bridge.

In an interview with Standard, the Met spokesperson said that the man is still missing and is investigating to find his whereabouts.

Many people shared photos of police cars on the Westminster Bridge on social media on Saturday.

Ambulances and fire trucks were also seen, and witnesses reported that helicopters and lifeboats were also in the area.

“I just took a boat back to Westminster Bridge,” a netizen wrote on Twitter. “There are blue lights everywhere.”

“What happened on Westminster Bridge? Does anyone know?” Another person wrote, sharing a video of the scene they filmed on the top deck of a passing bus.

The third person said: “‘There are about seven fire trucks, eight police cars, police boats, two lifeboats, and a helicopter. It was crazy to see it, thank goodness, I was very far from it on the Jubilee Bridge. Pray that no one will be affected. Serious injury.”
