Cutting-edge VCSEL technology in Wilcox RAID Xe

Utilizing the latest Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) technology, Wilcox rugged aiming/illumination enhancement type, commonly referred to as RAID Xe™, provides end users with huge advantages over currently deployed laser sighting systems (“Xe” defines equipment as enhanced network functions). Most current laser aiming systems use standard edge emitting lasers (EEL) or light emitting diodes (LED), which are outdated laser technologies. Because the laser on the VCSEL is emitted perpendicular to the surface, thousands of focused beams can be inspected and aligned to produce a single, more predictable and controllable laser beam.

The advantages are:

  • Excellent laser beam quality
  • No beam “spots” associated with outdated laser technology
  • In IR mode, the beam is uniform and there is no “dead spot”
  • Enhanced beam clarity and distance allow active identification and attack of potential targets during night operations

The advantages of Wilcox RAID Xe highlight its compelling value and lethality! Due to the overall size, weight, and unique features of the device, RAID Xe also provides several tactical advantages to the end user. The weight of RAID Xe is about 137 grams (without a single C123 battery), and the total width and length are about a typical business card, so RAID Xe will not fatigue the end user when aiming at the weapon, nor will it require too much after installation Of rail space. RAID Xe is the only laser aiming system equipped with a 40-degree LED indoor illuminator for close combat (CQB) missions, in which case it is dangerous to use aiming and infrared lasers. This additional feature allows end users to inspect and protect corridors and rooms without over-saturating these specific areas with laser beams.

The design of the RAID Xe system takes full advantage of the end user experience and feedback. Our goal is to need a smaller, lighter, and more powerful laser sighting device, and RAID Xe replied to the email. With the excellent VSCEL laser kit, due to the above-mentioned additional functions and the ability of end users to identify and attack longer-distance targets faster, our end users are safer in a stressful and hostile environment. Wilcox RAID Xe is a complete “turnkey” solution, suitable for any environment that requires reliability, fast target acquisition and recognition for success, it is indeed the most advanced technology for laser aiming systems.

The sensor for the shooter advantage

  • Real-time data sharing with Armorer’s Module for BlueforceCOMMAND to maintain weapons.
  • Maintenance counter: monitors the total number of bullets fired from weapons similar to vehicle odometers.
  • Temperature monitoring: monitor the temperature of weapons, and forward data according to high and low thresholds.
  • Health/Power: Monitor and report maintenance lags or problems as part of lens movement, temperature and position.
  • Offline queue: When the connection is refused, BTAC will keep the online status packet. When BTAC sees an approved network, it forwards the data packets cached during offline operation.
  • Network-friendly selective synchronization: The plug-in can be configured to send all shots, or only the shots and/or temperature changes.
