He added: “This week, one of our pregnant patients was unwell and it was obvious that he had no choice but to give birth.
“Our lady is very late in pregnancy and we don’t have to worry too much about the risk of premature birth, but this is obviously a very disturbing situation.
“Fortunately, everything went well.
“With the joint efforts of the obstetrician, anesthesiologist, midwife and nurse team, the baby was delivered smoothly through emergency caesarean section.
“The baby is in very good condition. Although the mother is still ventilated in the intensive care unit, her condition has shown some signs of improvement.”
He urged pregnant women to accept the offer of jabs.
“Currently, 95% of all pregnant women admitted to the hospital due to Covid-19 have not been vaccinated,” he said.
“Pregnant women with severe Covid pneumonia have a greatly increased risk of stillbirth or premature birth. I urge all pregnant women to receive vaccination.”
