The Nexter will be on display at Defence Services Asia (DSA) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, providing the Malaysian Army and our other Asian partners with solutions for their artillery, vehicle and ammunition needs. In addition to CAESAR, armored vehicles, ammunition, medium calibers and robots will be on display:
The CAESAR 6X6 is a 155mm gun mounted on a conventional truck chassis. The CAESAR 6×6 has a particularly light range, is suitable for all terrains and infrastructure, and can be air transported in the C130 tactical transport aircraft. Its quick battery commissioning and simplified replenishment also ensure its tactical mobility. The gun has been acquired by eight countries around the world and has been successfully used in combat by the French army, especially in Iraq. The CAESAR 6X6 has already demonstrated its ability to fire at long distances at very high rates of fire, with regular upgrades such as the MkII version recently ordered by France.
The 105LG1 is a 105mm towed gun known for its reliability and unparalleled lightness (1,650kg). It can be transported by any type of vehicle, aircraft, helicopter, or even airdropped, providing ideal mobility for troops operating in extreme climates and difficult terrain. The 105LG1 is a cost-effective solution to the Malaysian Army’s modern equipment needs, with which Nexter is working strongly in the artillery sector.
Nexter also offers 20 and 25mm guns to equip 6×6 or 4×4 vehicles. The M621 20mm gun is particularly easy to use and maintain, is more effective than machine guns, and takes up less space than larger caliber machine guns. It can be operated by the operator directly from the P20 mount or from the ARX 20 remote control turret. In addition, Nexter showcased the ARX 25, a compact and lightweight turret with a 25mm gun that has been battle tested at the VBCI. It allows precise fire, day and night, under armor, with complete safety, a caliber of very significant power.
TITUS is the latest generation of 6×6 armored vehicles that combines great versatility, great transport capabilities and unprecedented mobility, even in urban areas. It is designed for troop transport, capable of being equipped with various payloads, and thanks to its kit, it can be adapted to all tasks: combat, internal security, etc. Adapted to today’s needs, it provides the crew with the best protection against ballistic projectiles, mines and improvised explosive devices. TITUS can operate robots thanks to its latest generation vetronics and has an ARX 25 remotely operated turret.
Finally, Nexter showed off its smart munitions, such as the BONUS anti-armor shell, which uses two separate warheads to hit targets from the roof. Developed as a result of significant investment in research and development, these products rely on very high-precision guidance to provide their users with unprecedented operational capabilities.
