Embraer announced that it has signed a number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with aerospace companies ASTG (Global Aerospace Technology), EMK (EM Korea Co.) and Kencoa Aerospace from South Korea to strengthen cooperation with South Korean defense industry partners. Collaboration for future parts supply for C-390 Millennium aircraft. The C-390 Millennium aircraft is participating in the Large Transport Aircraft (LTA) II program managed by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).
Potential supplies of Korean-made parts will contribute to the offsetting requirements of the LTA II program. The MoU intends to establish a long-term business relationship between the parties, which will continue through the LTA II program and beyond. Local industrial capabilities can also be part of the future development of Embraer’s existing platforms such as the C-390 Millennium as well as new aircraft, vehicles and systems.

C-390 Millennium and its aerial refueling configuration The KC-390 is a new generation multi-mission military transport aircraft offering unmatched maneuverability and cargo capacity, rapid reconfiguration, high availability, enhanced comfort, and optimized management to reduce operating costs throughout the life cycle , all on one platform.
Since its first delivery to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), the KC-390 Millennium has proven its capability, reliability and performance. FAB’s current KC-390 fleet consists of five units. The fleet has more than 7,000 operational flight hours and a 99 percent mission completion rate, demonstrating excellent availability and productivity in its class.
In June 2022, the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced the selection of the C-390 Millennium to replace the current C-130 Hercules fleet. The Portuguese Armed Forces and the Hungarian Defense Forces will begin operating the KC-390 in 2023 and 2024, respectively. The fleets of the three European countries will be capable of aerial refueling and fully compatible with NATO.
