The traditional family restaurant has a large special dining table that can easily accommodate 12 people. With a magnificent view of the garden and a fireplace in winter, it sets a wonderful tone for the meal time. The decoration is tasteful and the right personality creates a good atmosphere. The walls are decorated with floral wallpapers, and some of the owner’s own artworks can be found everywhere in the house.
You can use the fully equipped kitchen to cook your own meals or go to local restaurants for delicious takeaways. Another option is to hire your own chef to prepare delicious dishes for you. This is perfect for any special occasion you might be celebrating.
There is another option, and that is the barbecue outside. Not only barbecue, but also a big green egg, which can also be used as a pizza oven. If the weather permits, there is a table outside, and if you choose to stay outside under the twinkling of the stars, there is also a fire pit next to it.
Upstairs, you will find five double bedrooms, which have been individually designed with custom furniture and family antiques. All rooms have comfortable white corporate robes and are named after the original fields that form part of the manor. In Goosemire, it can be said to be the master bedroom, with huge original windows flooded with light, and you can enjoy the spectacular view of the lake district hills and Lake Windermere.

There is something new in every room, from quirky discoveries snapped up at the Graduate Art Fair to more classic works drawn by local artists.
Herdwick wool and tweed reflect the location of the Lakeland countryside and are another recurring theme throughout the house. From comfortable and luxurious Herdwick curtains to Herdwick blinds in the bathroom.
The Xanadu downstairs is the location of the movie theater, which is very suitable for watching movies together and spending a good time. Before the renovation, it used to be a traditional wine cellar and now has a 75-inch screen and a state-of-the-art surround sound system. There is plenty of space on the huge sofa, and the scene is based on the B-level movie sci-fi posters of the 1950s. In addition to the cinema, the social area downstairs also includes table football and pool tables for added fun.
In addition to the entertainment area downstairs, there are two luxurious living areas on the first floor for you to relax. The bright and airy living room overlooks the garden, with two high-end sofas and many stylish upholstered chairs. Birkdale House also offers the opportunity to rent out a luxury motorboat called TinTin II, which is moored on Lake Windermere. The lake is 10.5 miles long and 65 meters deep. TinTin II covers its length in one morning, making it a very pleasant way to start the day and sightseeing from a unique perspective. The captain is a knowledgeable local, named Steve, who has worked on the lake for most of his life. Ask him questions and he will know the answers to all the questions.
