* Nigerian government officials stated that Nigeria will start a large-scale Covid-19 vaccination campaign later this week, with the goal of vaccinating half of its target population by the end of January.
* Late Monday, Egypt banned public sector employees from entering their offices without being vaccinated and tested for Covid-19 because the government pushed for increased vaccination rates in the last few weeks of the year.
