Family day out in Cornwall

With the school summer holidays quickly approaching, many parents are starting to think about trips and booking activities to keep their kids entertained all summer long.
With that in mind, here are two attractions you can visit this summer, perfect for kids and adults of all ages, with your choice of either British family holiday The destination must be provided.

So whether you're looking for somewhere to enjoy the sunshine, or need indoor activities when the UK weather is humid, scroll down to find your next family day out.

The Eden Project – Bodelva, Cornwall, PL24 2SG

iconic eden project The Dome is a must-see when visiting Cornwall. You'll be able to immerse yourself in a tropical environment that will leave you awestruck, high and low, as you wander through a biome that houses the world's largest indoor rainforest.

Not only can you explore the Dome when you visit, the Eden Project also offers many activities for all ages, including zip lines, giant swings, summer concerts, sensory games and playground areas – there's plenty more to explore.

To prepare for your visit, here are some tips to know before you arrive:

  • Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot to explore here.
  • Bring waterproof gear in case it rains, as there's plenty to see outside the biome.
  • Please wear layers of clothing as temperatures will change depending on where you are on site. No matter what the weather is like outside, the dome gets very hot.
  • Water bottle refill stations are provided.
  • High chairs and microwaves are available in all restaurants.

Healeys Cornwallside Farm – Healeys, Penhallow, Truro, Cornwall, TR4 9LW

Located in the center of Touro, Healy Cornwallside Farm It's a family day out. Since planting its first tree in 1986, Healeys has become Cornwall's largest independent sparkling wine maker and the first distillery in 300 years.

Healeys is a family run business, all staff are born and raised in Cornwall and are passionate about their work. They want to share their passion with all who visit, so whether you want to sample the products they produce, from juices to jams and more, take a ride on a vintage tractor through the orchards and visit the farm's friendly farm animals. Stroll around the farm shop or just explore it all while stopping for a traditional Cornish cream tea, there's something for everyone.

Although located within the farm, it is easily accessible to all visitors, with disabled parking and wheelchair access available throughout the farm, including the new tasting room. Not only that, but Healeys has also built a wheelchair-accessible tractor-trailer to make the orchard tours accessible to all visitors.
