through the golden pot, frank look
The tech world is moving faster than we can keep up. It’s very exciting because it really takes us farther than ever before, and not just into space. Technology is also invading our lives, even our bodies. It often makes life easier, more productive, and more creative, but it’s important to keep an eye on the unhealthy side. As humans, we have to find a balance when dealing with technology, because before you know it, algorithms will keep you staring at a screen. At my next webinar in 2022, I’ve identified 5 tech trends and collected tools to help you maintain a healthy balance.
New conventions in the digital-first world
As exciting as all new technology developments are, in a digital-first world we have to somehow maintain a balance. “Digital is rewiring your brain and body,” said Brian Solis, global innovation evangelist at Salesforce. We get 200 notifications per day and it takes 23 minutes and 15 seconds to re-enter your flow after a distraction. As a result, we are less and less present and are constantly multitasking. We humans were not made for this.

We can’t control the distractions thrown at us, but we can control how we deal with them. In a digital-first world, you have to develop new routines to ensure you stay balanced. “Don’t let society or algorithms rob you of your imagination, personality, or potential,” Solis concluded his keynote.
