More details about the upcoming ones have been leaked Garmin Phoenix 7 From the notorious leaker Win the future.
Like many leaks, this information is gradually infiltrating, so this information may not be as thorough as you want, but we are beginning to better understand what the new Fenix 7 will look like.
Garmin Fenix 6 Pro vs Fenix 7 vs Epix 2 Specifications-Highlights
This leak did not reveal a lot of information, but there are some points worth highlighting.
ECG/ECG
First, Fenix 7 and Garmin Epix 2 An electrocardiogram (ECG, electrocardiogram) heart rate measurement will be performed. I still can’t be 100% confident that it will be there because I thought this feature would be built into the Elevate 4 sensor. My knowledge of these things is limited, but I think Garmin needs to implement a single-lead ECG element on the back of the watch.
Solar variants
I had hoped that Fenix 7 would be equipped with solar energy as standard. This is wishful thinking.
The standard Fenix 7 and Fenix 7S will be equipped with solar models, while Fenix 7X will be equipped with solar models as standard.
There is no mention of the Pro model, so I suspect there are two options.I think it’s like Phoenix 6 / Fenix 6 Pro-instead of the third option like Fenix 6 Pro Solar.
Battery
Regardless of solar energy, battery life seems to have increased significantly.
The non-solar Fenix 7 can work in smart watch mode for 18 days and GPS usage time is 57 hours. This is an impressive 28.5% and 58% improvement compared to before Garmin Fenix 6 Pro.
For solar energy, Fenix 6 Pro Solar can run on solar energy for 16 days, and use solar energy to run GPS for 40 hours. Fenix 7 Solar increased it to 22 days and 73 hours, an increase of 37.5% and 82%, respectively. There have been rumors that the solar panel slats are larger, which seems to confirm this.
Surprisingly, Garmin Epix 2 has a 16-day battery and 42-hour GPS, so it is actually better than my Fenix 6 Pro.
Weight, size, construction materials and display
The overall weight of the watch seems to be reduced, with Fenix 6 Pro at 83g and Fenix 7 at 79g.
Epix 2 is a surprisingly lightweight 76g, it only has a 1.3-inch display, which matches the standard Fenix 7. I think the overall dimensions will be very similar. Its 454 x 454 pixels are three times that of MIP-based displays.
There have been rumors that Fenix 7 will start using the touch screen Transflexive MIP LCD. However, the leaked specifications did not mention the Fenix 7X Solar touch. Although it is not mentioned in Epix 2, it will definitely be a touch screen.
Epix 2 features
In other functions, WinFuture has notifications for emails, text messages, applications, conversations, calendars, and card memory.
Fenix can already do it, but I think it means that compared to the very basic notification systems on Fenix, it means they will be rich in content.
Fenix 7 & Epix 2 prices
Fenix 7 and 7S start at 700 euros (584 pounds). Garmin Fenix 6 starts at 529.99 pounds, and 6S starts at the same price. Fenix 6 Pro is priced at £599. Then Fenix 6 Pro Solar (and 6S Pro Solar) was launched at a price of £739.99.
If the price of Fenix 7 Solar exceeds 700 pounds, I will be disappointed, but I will pay 600 pounds for it.
WinFuture stated that the price of the new premium Garmin Epix Gen 2 watch may be as high as 1,000 Euros (834 GBP)
release date
We still don’t know. WinFuture stated in the comments that they might launch it today, 7day January and the last day of CES.
It seems a bit strange to launch a flagship product on the last day of the show.
Everyone thought it would be released at CES, so only the Venu 2 Plus release was disappointing.
Garmin Fenix 6 Pro vs Fenix 7 vs Epix 2 Spec Sheet
The WinFuture table has a function row description:
Distance, altimeter, ECG heart rate measurement, speed/RPM, speed, heart rate zone, number of steps, stress level, sleep duration, level, quality, recovery time, calorie consumption.
This is the same as Fenix 6 except for the ECG. I won’t say that the naming of “ECG heart rate measurement” is a bit strange. This may be a translation problem, but it may also be a mistake. Maybe it’s just the heart rate.
The solar variants are in brackets.
