Just recently we introduced Gusto To our meal plan, I really like our subscription. It gave us more variety and it was really nice that the kids were involved in choosing meals every week.

Since we’ve benefited so much from using Gousto, I wanted to put together this little guide to help answer any questions you may have about this food subscription box.

What is gusto?

Gousto is the leading food delivery service delivering delicious dinners straight to your door. The menu has about 50 recipes that change weekly. There are plenty of meals to choose from, most of which are family friendly, so there’s always something for everyone.

How does Gousto work?

Gousto box subscriptions are very easy to set up. Once you’ve selected your box size, meal and delivery date, you can change your plan at any given time. You may be leaving, so you may want to skip that week. Or you may have other commitments and want to put your delivery on hold for a while.
Gousto is a very flexible service that fits your week. We love convenience!

How much is Gusto?

The price you pay depends on how many recipes you choose and whether you need a box of 2 or 4. Prices start from £2.98 per serving, the more you order, the less you pay per serving. Here’s a small snapshot of Gousto’s cost –

can you have a gousto?

Sadly, there is currently no one-man option. The smallest box currently available can accommodate 2 people.
I’ll be sure to update this post if Gousto introduces a meal for someone in the near future.

Does Gousto offer vegetarian options?

Absolutely! There are many meals on the menu, offering a range of plant-based alternatives. There’s absolutely no shortage of flavor for a meatless, dairy-free dinner. We have tried many and they are absolutely delicious.

What day does the Gousto menu change?

Once you’ve selected your desired meal, you can edit your order up to three days before delivery. The menu changes every Tuesday at noon. Here you can find many delicious meal ideas. Some meals are so popular that they may sell out quickly! So definitely worth your early order.

Are Gousto boxes suitable if you are on a diet?

Yes, they are. I’m currently on a low calorie diet and the Gousto meal fits my plan perfectly. There are plenty of low-calorie dishes in just the right size to satisfy you, which is great because it makes me feel like I don’t need to snack anymore!

How long will Gousto boxes stay fresh?

Gousto Eco Boxes are designed to keep the contents fresh all day. Once food is chilled in the refrigerator, it has a shelf life of 4-6 days. Everything has a guide on when it should be used up, so you can cook those meals first.
You can also freeze the meat in the box if you want to eat it later.

Which courier does Gousto use?

Yodel offers Gousto boxes. Honestly, I’ve had a lot of trashy experiences with Yodel in the past, including a very ignorant driver who got mad at us for leaving his keys locked in the car! (He’s not the brightest spark). Having said that, I have to say that since starting our Gousto box subscription, everything has been going well.
The box is undamaged and the ingredients stay refrigerated thanks to the Eco cooler.

What if I am not at home?

This is not a problem. You can leave a note for the delivery driver to leave your Gousto box in a safe place, such as a porch or a neighbor. So you don’t need to be at home all day on the day of labor.

Are Gousto boxes environmentally friendly?

Gousto boxes are super eco-friendly. Eco coolers are great because they are all recyclable. Not only does the new cardboard insulated box keep food cool and fresh, it also reduces the 74.5 tons of plastic that was used to make the original box.
