The HAVELSAN Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) software is designed to use the functions of HAVELSAN to monitor, organize and manage all vessel traffic movements in the strait, and it was successfully used for the first time in NATO maritime safety exercises.
The NATO Maritime Safety Center of Excellence announced that for the first time in the history of the exercise, satellite images obtained by a private space-based earth observation company were transmitted to HAVELSAN VTS and displayed on the system.
The real-time AIS (Automatic Identification System) traces obtained by the companies participating in the exercise were also integrated into the HAVELSAN VTS and displayed.
In the first two days of the NATO maritime safety exercise, the video conference system HAVELSAN Diyalog was used to present academic speeches to participants outside Turkey.
