Survey shows 82% of Filipinos plan to adopt healthier habits by 2025make eating better a priority. Why? Because success does not lie in limitations; feels good. Filipinos define energy as having more energy, better sleep quality, and overall refreshed mind.
This is where it gets exciting: 66% of Filipinos will make New Year’s resolutions“eat healthier” (57%) and exercise more (57%) are tied as the top goals. Leaderboard? Prioritize self-care (60%). Clearly, Filipinos see food and health as part of a larger vision: take care of yourself inside and outside.

Holiday Food and Health Goals: A Year-End Struggle
Let’s be honest, the holidays can derail those best wishes:
- 60% of Filipinos admit that they feel less healthy as the year comes to an end.
- 53% Say they use the holidays as an excuse to put off eating healthy (let’s be honest, we’ve all been there).
And the temptation of food? Unstoppable. 70% of respondents admitted to changing their eating habits during the holidaysholiday delicacies come under fire. Young Filipinos (Gen Z) are taking the lead in pausing: 61% of Gen Z admit to putting off healthy habitscompared with 47% for Generation X.

Survey methods
The survey was conducted by talker study on behalf of Herbalife. it involves 5,500 consumers in 11 Asia-Pacific countries—Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The online survey was conducted at October 25-29, 2024.
