While there’s no hard and fast rule about when you should start decorating a space for the holidays, there are definitely some guidelines to follow to make sure you don’t get ahead of yourself. Most people choose to decorate their homes for the holidays after Thanksgiving, in early December, while some choose to decorate before Thanksgiving. As far as we’re concerned, it’s a fair game once Halloween is over. Why not enjoy these beautiful decorations for another month? For those celebrating Christmas – getting and assembling a Christmas tree every year is a very fun, festive event. Some people use the same artificial tree year after year, while others buy or cut their own trees. Either way, be sure to choose a good spot for it in your home. There should be room around it for tree stands, tree skirts, and gifts. It should also be close to the socket to ensure you can plug in the string of lights. Make sure it doesn’t bump or hit the painting or shelf. Choose a tree that fits your space, not too small and not too big (it should be at least a few inches below the ceiling and not so wide that it takes up the entire room. Sometimes we see a tree in nature , but don’t get too into the size of it. Measure your space before heading out to make sure it fits your space. Not to mention, it will look even more festive and fun once you add some gift wrapping under the tree!

Some people like colorful lights, some people like to stick to the classic white lights. You can also use different types of lights for different decorative purposes.
