ingredients you need

- Patty Pot Squash – Look for small to medium-sized squash about 2-4 inches in diameter for the best flavor and texture. They can grow up to 7 inches wide, but the larger ones are tougher, less sweet, and even taste a bit like potatoes. If you’re grilling it, choose the squash on the larger side (about 4 inches wide) of the best range so it doesn’t fall off the grill.
- olive oil – I use extra virgin olive oil, but any neutral oil will do. Avocado oil is a good choice.
- salt and pepper – For simple taste. I use sea salt, but kosher salt will work too.
- optional seasoning – garlic powder, Italian seasoningand crushed red pepper flakes.
