Basecamp’s “Design Trail” and “Vision Hub” workshop series’ mission is to equip children, teens and young adults with digital skills that are vital in today’s modern world, offering fun and age-appropriate digital lessons on animation, games Design, web design, video editing and app development.
Design Trail for Kids also offers non-digital lessons on sketching, drawing, and science experiments. Registrants in the Visayas and Mindanao regions will also receive modules written in Cebuano. Classes will begin on April 11, 2023 and will continue throughout the year.

In particular, they can improve the following skills:
Storytelling with iPad
After completing the “Art of Comics” and “2D Animation with iPad” Design Trail courses, kids who love storytelling will learn to express their ideas through technology-brought-to-life comics. Designed for children ages 7 to 10, these lessons will strengthen their visual communication skills by creating new characters using basic lines, shapes and colors.
Meanwhile, older teens and young adults aged 16-21 can sign up for Vision Hub’s ‘3D Creation and Animation for Beginners’ to take it to the next level with animation techniques and software tools actually used by the industry.
Coding and STEM skills
Today, everything is run by technology, which means we will need more programmers for the foreseeable future. If your kids are regularly immersed in gaming platforms like Roblox and Minecraft, give them a more structured training session that can teach them how to build their own Roblox games and publish them on Roblox Studio. They can also become familiar with Minecraft for Education, a great learning tool that develops science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills, unleashes creativity, and engages students in collaboration and problem solving.
Kids can learn the disciplines involved in creating their own games through a variety of software and programming languages, while teens and young adults can hone their skills in web design, video editing, and app development. These digital courses are taught online or in-person and are available year-round, so your child can fit them in at their leisure.
non-numerical skills
Design Trail for Kids also offers courses designed to develop simulation skills such as drawing, painting, printmaking and comic creation. In addition, young scientists are invited to discover scientific concepts through hands-on activities and inquiry-based learning.
These non-digital lessons are taught entirely in person to increase children’s appreciation for the value of hands-on work and imagination. Basecamp Training Center is located at Ayala Center 3/L Glorietta 5, Makati City.
Design Trail courses are 4 days, 1.5 hours each. Digital courses are priced at P2,500 per student per course for online courses and P3,000 for face-to-face courses. P3,000 each for non-digital courses. Vision Hub’s online courses are priced at P5,500 per person per course, for a total of 15 hours per course over 5 days.
