In a heated debate about lawn tools, a woman Reddit Claims that she told her that he “castrated himself”. Although this comment made her husband very unhappy, many Redditors defended her.
On Monday, she shared the details of the controversy under the username u/Bench_Virtual in the “Am I The A**hole” forum on Reddit. This post has received more than 12,000 votes.
In order to provide a background for the argument, the wife explained that she was raised by a single father who not only taught her how to cook and clean, but also how to be her own “handyman.” On the other hand, she said, her husband “has been expecting to do everything for him since he was a child, and has never really learned any self-sustaining skills,” she said.
She added that he also believed that this person was “always right” since he was a child.
“Fast forward to last week, I need to buy a new trimmer because my old believer finally gave up his life. I was busy with children, and my husband said he would pick it up for me,” the wife said.
“I told him which one I wanted and what brand all my power tools were. He said he understood, but when he came back, he bought a different brand,” she continued.
The wife was “irritated” but decided to move on. Until she noticed that her husband did not buy the right battery for the new trimmer.
Her husband told her to use the battery from the previous trimmer, but she explained that it couldn’t work like that. So her husband took her back to the hardware store.
“When we got there, he walked straight to the tool shed and asked the tool expert to explain to me my Ryobi [batteries] It works well on my new Makita trimming machine,” she said.
But the expert is on the side of his wife. The husband awkwardly exchanged the trimmer he bought with the trimmer his wife originally wanted. As soon as they got home, there was a quarrel.
