Internships in Sustainability Undergraduate Courses This Spring
This Sustainability Undergraduate Program looking for a intern Spring programming is supported. Interns will divide their time between project management and event communication and planning. The ideal candidate will have experience in communication, event coordination and working on a variety of projects in a highly professional environment.
Responsibilities:
Duties will include, but are not limited to: updating and generating web content and flyers, event planning and staffing, drafting and editing articles/profiles, and updating program materials.
Required skills:
- Applicants should be highly motivated, detail oriented and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience using social media (including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and MailChimp) and MS Office tools (such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required.
- The ideal candidate will be personable, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and rigorous,
- A strong interest in the environment and sustainability is preferred but not required.
Expected student type: Graduate or undergraduate students.Students who have registered or plan to declare the major/professional of sustainable development are no eligible to apply. Only current students at Columbia University and Barnard College are eligible to apply.
NOTE: This position requires candidates to be present in person at least one day per week.
compensation:
$21.50/hour, 10-15 hours/week. Positions start in mid-February.
