Orange, Sierra Wireless, LACROIX and STMicroelectronics today announced the creation of IoT Continuum, a partnership aimed at simplifying and accelerating the large-scale deployment of the Internet of Things in Europe and other regions.
For the first time, IoT Continuum’s partners have concentrated the expertise of the entire IoT industry (connection, hardware, software, design, and manufacturing) under one roof, which will support international companies in accelerating the deployment and industrialization of large-scale IoT. Cat M and Cat 1) and 5G.
The partners implemented a three-step process (“Startup, Validation, Deployment, and Expansion”) to support enterprises’ IoT projects on cellular networks, from conception to industrialization, without the need to contact multiple participants in the market. IoT Continuum provides a combination of leading industry players who will improve the project risk management of enterprises. Customers can join the process at any stage according to their needs.
As part of these processes, partners will:
- Provide any enterprise and its selected vertical industry with a set of components and solutions validated on the Orange network, as well as the industrial tools needed to deploy large-scale IoT services on cellular networks
- By providing pre-integrated building blocks, including hardware and software (STMicroelectronics, Sierra Wireless), connectivity and IoT services (orange), design and manufacturing (LACROIX), reducing the complexity, development time and cost
- Provide guidance and expertise to streamline the entire process and help customers maximize their benefits to economically scale IoT deployments
IoT Continuum aims to increase the confidence of enterprises by solving the current uncertainty, complexity and reducing the cost of IoT deployment, and to support the booming IoT ecosystem in Europe and other regions. Partners will also promote eSIM and 5G technologies to promote the large-scale Internet of Things, and are committed to helping customers develop digital methods on IoT Continuum.
