This year, I really put my heart into gift giving, especially for the kids (who have more than we could possibly need – well, we all do)! I find myself thinking over and over, “If the amount of stuff they have is stressing me out, how can I expect it not to stress them out?!” So we definitely pay attention to our gifts and choose some of their Things you want and need, practical things like clothes and shoes, and some books. You know the old adage “what you want, what you need, what you wear, what you read.”
Having said that, here is my gift guide for the kids, which includes everything we personally own that my kids (ages 3-8) absolutely love, plus a few things that were on my own kid’s list this year. We love open ended toys, they don’t just require mindless button pressing, they require imagination, skill and a lot of fun! Think: Blocks, Magnatiles, Puzzles, Books. I hope you find this list helpful and find some great ideas for your own kids! 🙂 Scroll down for more ideas!
