Republican Rep. Lauren Bobert delivered an inflammatory speech in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, detailing the “improper behavior” of the Democrats, trying to divert the vote to condemn Republican Rep. Paul Gossall.
Gosal posted an animated video on social media describing himself as killing New York State Representative Alexander Ocasio-Cortez.TonThe House of Representatives later voted to condemn Gosar.
Bobert’s speech was not ignored. Bobert raised his voice and unfoundedly claimed that California Rep. Eric Svalwell had “sleeped” with a Chinese spy and mentioned that Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar– A Muslim woman, she is one of the four Democratic congresswomen known as the “squad”-as a member of what she calls the “jihadist squad”.
“Members of the jihadist squad from Minnesota paid more than $1 million in campaign funds to her husband, not her brother’s husband,” Bobert said. “This member was allowed to enter the Foreign Affairs Committee while praising the terrorists.”
Bobert is referring to a recent report Fox News Omar allegedly paid more than $2.8 million to E Street Group LLC, a political consulting firm owned by her husband Tim Mynett, during the 2019-20 election cycle.
When attacking Svolvaer, Bobert said he was “sleeping with the enemy.”
“My colleague, a three-month presidential candidate from California, he is a member of the Intelligence Committee, Slept with the Chinese spy Fang Fang,“She said. “Let me say it again: A member of Congress who received a confidential briefing was sleeping with an enemy. “
Swalwell responded to Boebert’s speech on Twitter and gained support for his remarks.
“It’s weird. If I did something wrong, the FBI would raid my house. They didn’t (even issued a statement saying that I did nothing wrong),” Svalwell said.
The video of Boebert’s speech went viral on Twitter, because considering her past controversy, many people are not ashamed to respond to her attacks. Twitter users have previously made #LaurenBoebertissodumb a popular hashtag.
