August is over, September is coming! Isn’t it crazy that another month has passed in the blink of an eye? ! I don’t actually feel like we’ve had too many summers. But having said that, August is still a lovely month.
Without further ado, here are some of our favorite things from August!
Quick Connector
Don’t you hate it when the fitting on the end of your hose keeps popping off and you get wet? !
we recently discovered Quick Connector They are real game changers! The fitting features a wing lock system for quick and easy attachment. You simply push the hose into the inner tube, clamp the wings and secure with nuts. The extra long connector acts as a handle.
They’re really cleverly designed, and I love that you can buy a kit that comes with a workstation so you can mount it on the wall. This is so handy, I now have it on top of the hose reel on the side of the house.

Bedroom lights
My older son loves getting cozy in his bedroom and now that he’s a teenager, he loves playing games in his bedroom more than ever!He wanted some new mood lights because his globe light broke recently so I got him these LED strips amazon.
They are great! Comes with a remote, we also use the app.
These lights are super easy to install as they have adhesive backing tape and once glued to the wall they cast a colorful glow around the room. You can choose from a variety of colors and you can have them move to the beat of the music, which my son loves.
They really are a great find!

lick pad
Bruce and Barney have some new lick pads! If you have dogs, then you need to buy one of these and some peanut butter for dogs. Your dog will definitely thank you for it! Mine took a long time to lick them clean. If your dog suffers from separation anxiety, they’re a godsend because this is an activity that will keep their attention while you’re on task.
The noise Bruce made when he licked him was so much fun! I have to upload this to my stories, it’s hilarious! (He was literally a piggy when he ate).

Sudbury Hall
I love walking around National Trust estates and anything historically significant! Sudbury Hall A great place to explore, we’ve been there before.
Excited to go back and explore more! We even had some nice weather that allowed us to have a picnic.

playing with chocolate
how cute are these playing with chocolate Surprise box?
Each ToyChoc box contains two bars of allergen-free organic chocolate, a buildable animal card puzzle and an educational fun card to teach kids about the natural world around us, past and present. ToyChoc boxes feature different themes, including sea animals, dinosaurs, and endangered animals, and are a great way to encourage kids to learn about different species and their habitats while enjoying a delicious, fun lunch.
Made with only three natural, organic plants, these chocolates contain a third less sugar than other leading chocolate brands while maintaining a delicious chocolate flavor. So ToyChoc boxes are a great way to give kids treats that are better for their health and the planet.

birthday celebration
We celebrated my husband’s birthday in August. We had a great family day with great food and lots of laughs. Craig had a great day and so did we!
Starting to plan my youngest son’s birthday now.

retinol oil
British sustainable skin, hair and body care brand Evolve Organic Beauty just launched Eternal Renew Bio Retinol Body Oil – A beautifully scented oil that helps nourish, firm and restore skin’s appearance while improving elasticity and locking in moisture.
I can’t believe I’ve only just started using retinoid-based face creams, and I honestly wish I had used them years ago. I can really see the benefits of using them on a daily basis. My skin is more even, radiant and my skin condition has improved a lot!

What have you been enjoying lately?
