LinkedIn adds new and improved tools to creator mode


LinkedIn has announced the addition of new tools and features to its creator mode. Creator Mode is a profile setting designed to help LinkedIn users grow their reach, build engaged audiences, and expand their presence on the platform.

In order to provide members with more resources to start high-quality conversations and make an impact, LinkedIn has made the following changes.

Creator Analysis – This update enables users to measure content performance and growth, allowing them to optimize content strategy and audience engagement. Creators can now track content performance over time and aggregate totals for metrics like impressions and engagement.

It also includes demographic insights directly from user profiles, downloadable analytics and weekly impression tracking.

Subscribe to notifications – Users can now notify viewers of new content by allowing them to opt-in to receive notifications. If someone subscribes to the creator’s content, they will be notified every time a new post is added.

Newsletter Features – Last year, Creator Mode started allowing newsletters to be published, which led to a 625% increase in the number of newsletters on the platform and an 89% increase in global subscriptions.[1]

To further increase the reach of these publications, LinkedIn now allows creators to highlight their newsletters in the featured section of their profiles, making it easier for viewers to find the latest editions and subscribe.

Improve

Post analysis – LinkedIn has redesigned the user experience for post analytics to include a new summary page to improve information clarity.

The definitions of metrics have changed to provide more nuanced insights into articles. “Views” is now used to refer to the number of times an article has been viewed. “Impressions” is the number of times a post containing the article was displayed on the screen.

The latest update also improves filtering of analytics data. You can now get engagement information on occupation, industry, location, industry and company size.

Profile Video – Creators can now use a video in place of their profile picture, with a blue ring around it to indicate it’s a video. The new analytics shows the number of views, and users can follow profiles directly from the video.

Tips are included to inspire creators and provide video starting points. Profile videos can only be created on mobile devices.

Creator Mode Continues to Drive Engagement

Launched in March 2021, 5.5 million members have turned on creator mode. By using these features, LinkedIn’s user content engagement has increased by nearly 30%.[2]

Creator Mode is available to all LinkedIn members who:

  • Audience base of over 150 followers and/or connections
  • Any type of content recently shared on the platform
  • Good reputation and history of adhering to community policies

Any user who meets these requirements can access Creator Mode, which gives them access to LinkedIn Live Video[3]available for live video content, and LinkedIn Newsletters.[4] Other features include tools for short posts, documents, and events.
