Learning becomes easy when your child starts to be a little explorer.
According to scientific research, 90% of children’s brain development occurs before the age of five. Babies start exploring and learning new things between 1 and 2 years old. Toddlers begin to expand their vocabulary and develop their personalities at the age of 2.5 to 3 years. They start interacting with children and adults at 3.5 years of age.
This shows how important early childhood education (ECE) is to the development of children’s lifelong learning. In fact, a 2019 study by Trends in International Math and Science Research (TIMSS) showed that students who excelled in early reading and numeracy skills outperformed students who struggled with the same tasks by more than one standard deviation. This shows that raising awareness about ECE is an urgent issue that is being discussed not only locally but also internationally.
“As every Filipino’s lifelong learning partner, Rex Education has always believed that investing in ECE and developing our children’s foundational skills early is critical to ensuring they are ready for life. When we launched our newest brand, Little Explorers, we wanted Driving the conversation on the importance of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) in the Philippines and empowering our children’s parents and learning partners with quality, research and age-appropriate learning solutions so their children start learning before they even officially start school ,” said Don Timothy Buhain, CEO of Rex Education.
