John Cole, 39, from Bridgend Sahn, appeared in the Newport Criminal Court on Friday afternoon and was charged with the murder of Logan and obstruction of justice.
The 30-year-old Angharad Williamson from Sarn and a young man whose identity cannot be determined due to legal reasons also appeared in court and were charged with obstruction of justice.
At a hearing in Cardiff District Court on Thursday afternoon, it was heard that Logan was injured before his death.
These allegedly include a torn liver, internal injuries to the back of the head, and clavicle fractures.
The three defendants will appear in Newport Criminal Court on November 12.
