Manchester City plan to unveil statues of Vincent Kompany and David Silva with Sergio Aguero

Former captain Kompany left the club in 2019 after a lapse of 11 years, during which time he won the Premier League and League Cup four times, and the FA Cup twice. Silva left last summer and won another League Cup in the Kompany game.

The statues of Kompany and Silva will be unveiled before the home game against Arsenal on Saturday.

Manchester City said in a statement: “The decision to award these three players is based on their unparalleled contribution to the transformation of the club over a total of 31 years at the club.”

Silva and Aguero currently play for La Liga teams Real Sociedad and Barcelona respectively, while Kompany is the head coach of Belgian professional league club Anderlecht.
